Far across the distance, you’ll see the Herdstone (the main objective in the Dark Omens map in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Winds of Magic‘s sole mission). Otherwise, you’ll have to look around the area and bring it to that location.Įventually, you’ll reach the cliffside. The only way to destroy it is by using exploding barrels (flammable barrels won’t work). There’s a section of this cave that’s barricaded by a wooden wall. Engines of War is a remastered version of the identically named mission in Vermintide 1, although Book locations have been changed and several secrets have been added.Stand Your Ground Until the Ship Arrives.The heroes have to hold out until the boat arrives, after which they can escape to the Bridge of Shadows. Ringing the bell attracts hordes of Skaven and Rotblood Enemies, including Elites and Specials. In order to cross the water to the Bridge of Shadows, the heroes call for a boat by ringing the Bell in a small village with a large Inn called The Mother Black. The Doomwheels are also guarded by several Stormvermin. During the event, hordes of Skaven assault the heroes, including Plague Monks. The kegs lie in a wagon in the central hub of the camp, with each branch leading to a Doomwheel. When the heroes reach the Skaven Encampment, they have to destroy three Doomwheels with Powder Kegs. After destorying the machines, they retreat to a river-side village of Black to escape through a Bridge of Shadows by using a ship as a bridge, while withstanding an aggressive Skaven counterattack. Their additional target is to destroy the Skaven war engines (also known as Doomwheels). This time, the heroes perform a raid through swampy terrain into a Skaven warcamp of Clan Skryre, hidden in the Reikland Forest. For a last time, the Heroes go into an illusion of Ubersreik to find a rune of the Dwarfen Lodestone.
